For the second week in succession United lost by a single goal, this time to Brimscombe and Thrupp, in a disappointing performance at The Meadow.

With the ground sodden due to overnight rain and snow, it was United who started the brighter of the two sides and, as early as the second minute, they fashioned a great chance as Ellis Hercules played in Luke Ricketts whose effort was parried by the keeper, with the ball then falling just out of the reach of Dan West. James Dobson, coming in for his first game having dual registered from Slough Town, then created a couple of chances before a Ricketts effort from 20 yards was saved by the home keeper.

By this stage, the home side had rarely been in the Thame half, but they were given a great opportunity to take the lead on 23 minutes when Ellis Hercules was adjudged to have committed a foul inside the area. Karl Nash hit a powerful low drive from the penalty spot but Matt Tapping got down well to his left to push the ball wide. The reprieve was, however, short-lived for United as Brimscombe took the lead on 28 minutes. A ball down the Thame right put Aaron Nash through on goal and he calmly slid the ball under the advancing Tapping. By this time the game had swung back to the hosts and, with the exception of a Dobson effort from 25 yards, United created little in the remainder of the half.

The second half opened with United on the front foot, and they nearly equalised on 48 minutes when a Dan Jones cross was headed over by Ben Connelly. With United pressing forward gaps began to appear at the back, and these were exploited by striker Karl Nash, whose strength and work rate were proving a valuable asset to the home side. Indeed, Tapping did well to push over a 25-yard effort from Nash on 62 minutes, before then smothering an effort from Deakin. United, for their part, were unable to create any real goal scoring opportunities until the final moments when Connelly was only able to direct an effort over the bar from a Ricketts cross. That was as good as it got for United, as the home side took all three points.
