Chairman Jake Collinge opened with a review of the season recognising that, taken across all teams, the season had been the most successful for a decade, with the First team finishing in the top six for the second year in a row, and progressing in cup competitions to a semi-final, two quarter finals and the last 64 of the FA Vase. Equally, the Reserves had a successful year, finishing second in the league and with an Oxfordshire Intermediate Cup Final to come whilst, under the stewardship of Craig Faulconbridge, the Youth Team had consolidated and, importantly, a number of players had progressed in to the First Team. The Ladies were finishing the season strongly, whilst the Vets were likely to win the league and with a cup final still to come.
Jake also thanked the Thame United Committee for their efforts and work behind the scenes in ensuring each match ran smoothly with a particular mention for the work of Ruth Tuddenham in ensuring kits were laundered and well-prepared. Thanks was also given to Paul Kuhn, the groundsman, to ASM the main sponsor and to the wider TFP organisation – including Jackie (Chef) and Lauren (Bar) for their work on the night, for which they were each presented with a bottle of wine.
Each section then presented their own review of the season and particular highs and lows, with awards as follows:
