As the first half kicked off, Henley college started of very fast and put Thame's defenders under a lot of pressure. This pressure paid off as Henley scored an early goal. They then added another from the penalty spot to double their lead. Further pressure saw Henley add a third as Thame struggled to get into the game. In the 40th minute Thame got one back through Nathan Lang as a floated cross ended up in the back of the net. At the break Henley led Thame 3-1. The second half started with both teams playing well and a good move from Henley saw them increase there lead. Thame replied quickly with a goal through Nathan Lang who's whipped ball went through everyone including the keeper to make it 4-2. With 20 minutes to go, Henley added a fifth goal to regain there 3 goal lead. Tom Ashworth added a consolation goal in the 75th minute with a close range finish. The game finished 5-3 as Henley saw the game out.
