Does Red Kite Radio have a favourite player at Thame United and why?
RED KITE RADIO -'That’s like asking “What’s your favourite Beatles album?” They’re all good! We like Lynton Goss a lot, like Aguero for Man City, he is exciting to watch, he’s dependable and he can turn games around. But just like Aguero at City, Lynton is part of a team, and it’s a team effort that wins games'.

What do Red Kite Radio think of the teams performance this season?
RED KITE RADIO - 'Thame United have exceeded expectations this season. Which has seen them make a sustained challenge for the playoffs since mid-season. An exciting run of six wins and a draw between mid-November and Xmas, lifted the team from below halfway to the top five, where they have remained pretty much since. Impressive results against Bedford Town (home), Sporting Bromsgrove (home) and Corby Town (home and away) demonstrate their right to be genuine play-off contenders. It promises to be an exciting run-in to the end of the season'.

RED KITE RADIO - 'Thame United has come a long way in just a few years. This season could prove to be another important milestone in the club’s development and offers exciting prospects for the future, especially if promotion is achieved. The history of Red Kite Radio
Our story began with Summerfest Radio, the two-week broadcasts in support of the Haddenham Beer Festival. Summerfest has grown into one of the largest one-day beer festivals in England and to date has raised over £200,000 for good causes in our area. Red Kite Radio will continue to fully promote and support the Summerfest event and the Trust’s winter festival too.

Full-time radio for Thame and Haddenham
In the summer of 2015 the team behind Summerfest Radio launched a bid to make Red Kite Radio a permanent fixture in Thame and Haddenham. We won backing from many organisations, including charities, schools, local businesses and John Bercow MP. In the spring of 2016 the hard work paid off when Ofcom, the government regulator of radio and television, awarded us a five-year community radio licence.
