Thame vs Aylesbury
Wasn't our night.
Thame went into this game knowing a win would push them near the top of the table and therefore had a strong start to the first half. Thame kept the ball well and opened Aylesbury up multiple times. Aylesbury's defence were well organised and limited our chances but Johnny Thirkell hit the post twice during the first half which finished 0-0.
The second half was very even as Thame tired after their big first half performance. Thame managed to take the lead as Tom Ashworth broke from midfield and slotted the ball through to Johnny Thirkell who won us a penalty. Alex Rickard stepped up and slotted the ball into the bottom right corner with ease. Thame's lead didn't last long as a wonderful solo goal made it 1-1. Then shortly after Aylesbury's momentum took them into the lead as Thame struggled to clear there lines. With 10 minutes left Thame looked fatigue and Aylesbury doubled their advantage to make it 3-1. With under a minute to go Tom Porter picked out a wonderful pass to Marcus Castano who took one touch and buried it in the bottom left corner. The game finished 2-3 with Thame being very disappointed after their first half display.
