After a successful season Thame Colts received their runners up trophies from the Oxford Mail Youth League Chairman at the Kassam stadium last Friday night.

The Colts had one of the best defensive records in the league conceding just 24 goals in 18 league matches. Their final record was W10, D5, L3. Throughout the season the Colts frequently both out-played their opponents with their disciplined structure and high tempo passing game, and outlasted them with superior fitness and excellent team spirit. Allied to effective counter-attacking and precise finishing the team were always difficult to beat and often dominated opponents in the middle of the park.

As the League Chairman noted the 35 point tally was 27 better than in 2014-15. This exceptional improvement is a tribute to all the squad and the coaching team of Paul, Mike and Gavin.

Also on the evening Jonno Connell was presented with the Parents' Player of the Season award as he will miss the End of Season presentation. Well done Jonno for a brilliant season in the centre of the midfield, providing the first line of defence and organizing and prompting our attacks!
