@thameunitedfc and www.thamefootball.co.uk would like to thank Ben for his time in speaking to us ahead of the away tie V Winchester City on Tuesday evening.

*** QUESTION TIME ***

What were your thoughts about the boy’s performance in recent weeks?
BEN – Very pleased with the lads application and performances recently. It’s one of the hardest situations to turn around in football when you are stuck in a rut, and losing games it needs a certain type of character and lads should be proud of themselves.

What did the boys work on Saturday ahead of Tuesday’s game?
BEN - With Saturday unfortunately being called off. We wanted to just keep the lads ticking over. We just worked on some pattern and set pieces to keep them fresh. We completed a few runs and finished off a few beers as a squad in the bar Haha. Also a few of the newer lads had to step up and sing for there intuitions. Great standard shown.

What are you hoping to see from the boys Tuesday evening V Winchester City
BEN – ‘Much of the same really. The boys know they will have to turn up and start bright against a decent opponent in tough conditions. If we do that we trust our ability will see us through.’

What is your take on how the new signings have settled into life at Thame?
BEN – ‘It’s never easy coming into a new set up when the ball is rolling. I have been very impressed. All the boys have settled in to the changing room with some big characters and as you can tell by performances and results really enjoying there time with us.’

What makes the FA Trophy a special competition for non-league clubs?
BEN – ‘It’s obviously tough for many non league clubs to stay afloat. So it is a great chance to win some prize money, for the lads to play against a higher opponent in front of a few fans and showcase there talent. ‘

Do we have any injury concerns or suspensions going into the match?
BEN- ‘Noah is still a week or so away. Mepham is struggling with a knock but other than that we have a few lads back and will travel with a very squad squad.’

The Keepy Ups challenge saw Craig Hill take the stage last week, who will be stepping up to take it on Thursday?
BEN - 'Yes was a tough one for hilly. Harsh conditions but done well. Erm..... Thursday a defender will take the stage and see how they can do.’

Any final comments for the fans and followers?
BEN – ‘Obviously with us now having to travel on Tuesday night. And a big ask for the loyal fans. Would just ask to keep an eye out on social media. Keep liking, sharing and commenting. Many thanks Johnno.’
