Comeback Kings!

*** FT - Winchester City 3-3 Thame United ***

FA Trophy Preliminary Round
Goals -
Winchester City - Balmer 24, Barron 33 and 53 Hill

Thame United - OG 84, West 86 and Hackett 90+1

Thame score three in 7 minutes to force a replay at the ASM Stadium on Tuesday 22/10/2019.
Again I apologise for my language in the stands for those in Winchester.

The home side dominated the first half and Thame have to be thankful to GK Hill for countless important saves.

The Thame comeback materialised In the 84th minute when an unlikely own goal made it 3-1.
Two minutes later West brilliantly went round the GK Pryce before cutting inside the desperate defender to slide the ball into the net for 3-2.
Then into injury time the comeback arrived! Hackett controlled the ball before drilling it across the GK to make it 3-3.

It should be noted that Sturgess came off the bench and played a key part in leading this team to a historic comeback in the FA Trophy.

Thame also had late opportunities to nick it too but will be more than happy.

Our thoughts are with Andy Gledhill who had to go off injured early in the second half.
