*** QUESTION TIME ***

Craig, could you share with us how you got into football and how you started as a Goal keeper?
CRAIG – ‘Ever since my dad put me in goal and started kicking balls at me in the garden when I was 5 or 6. I loved it and it went from there’.

Is there a goal keeper you have seen as a role model and why?
CRAIG – ‘I think it would have to be Iker Casillas. When I was growing up I really liked his style of goalkeeping and he was someone I looked up to'.

What do you do when not playing football?
CRAIG – ‘I work for a scaffolding company at the moment. Of course apart from playing I watch a lot of football in my spare time’.

Do you support a football team? Do you have an all-time favourite football player?
CRAIG – ‘‘I’ve supported Arsenal my whole life. My favourite player though would have to be Lionel Messi. It’s a privilege to have grown up watching him. For me, he’s the best player to have played the game’.

What has been your greatest moment as a player?
CRAIG - ‘To have been able to play at some of the biggest stadiums in the country including the Emirates stadium in front of some big crowds was amazing. I’ve been able to play with and against some top players including Shay Given at Aston Villa. Working with him is something I will never forget, he is a great role model and he helped me a lot. Also, getting to travel a lot with Villa was a great experience’.

What is the best thing about Thame United?
CRAIG – ‘I would have to say the management team and the players, as well as the great facilities’.

You have just won £10, 000 what would you do with the money?
CRAIG – ‘I’d probably use it to go travelling, maybe around America’.

What Goal keeper gloves do you wear? And what are your all-time favourite gloves?
CRAIG – ‘I wear Steve Hale gloves at the moment. I’ve worked with Steve since I was young at Swindon Town FC. He’s a great goalkeeper coach who’s worked with a lot of first team keepers. He now has his own brand of gloves and they work well for me. I’d say they are up there with the best gloves I’ve worn – I’d definitely recommend them’.
