Thame Utd FC reds keep up their 100% win record with a fine performance against London Colney Colts

London Colney Colts 1 - 3 Thame Utd FC Reds

This game had pretty much everything you could ask for in junior soccer. Two pretty even teams, lots of energy, really good, technical football played and some fantastic goals scored.

The game kicked off and it was really even right from the get go. both teams playing attacking attractive football and with little to choose between the two. The first goal came on 4 minutes and 45 seconds where Jacob Wasey, Who would go on to be really influential throughout the whole game, found Riley Butcher Who slotted home nicely from short range.

we started again and London Colney Colts were immediately on the attack. The game went from end to end until on 12 minutes and 30 seconds Dylan Biggs wriggled free to find Ollie Doughty Who smashed ball past London Colney Colts keeper.

The game was far from one-sided as once again London Colney Colts we are beginning to grow in confidence and begin to string passes together with ease.

The first third ended 2-0 to Thame Utd FC Reds

The second third started and London Colney
colts were immediately on the attack and were taking the game to Thame United Reds. Harry Watkins in Thame’s goal and Harley and Reggie at the back were under pressure but managed to stay firm. On 22 minutes, Thame United FC Reds extended their lead to 3-0 when Dylan Biggs assisted for the second time for Riley Butcher to get his second of the game with a thunderbolt from 12 yards.

Five minutes later on 27 minutes, London Colney Colts got a goal back to make it 3-1 with an excellent move and a fantastic and fine finish at the end.

The second third ended 3-1 to Thame United FC reds which was going to set up a blockbusting final third of football

The last third kicked off and immediately both teams were in the ascendancy, as Thame Utd FC Reds were aiming to protect their lead, whilst London colney Colts were attempting to catch up.

There were chances at both ends but with no team being able to break either goalkeeper or defence down.

The game ended 3-1, with both coaches admitting the game was a fantastic example of the level we are playing at. be
