AFC Dunstable vs Thame United Match Preview 24 January

Martin Pacetti23 Jan - 08:55

Its our first away game of 2026 as we head to Dunstable

Thame United are on their travels this weekend in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One as they head to Creasy Park to take on AFC Dunstable. Thame will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run which now stretches back six games, winning the last four and after a gap of three weeks and three postponements produced a good second half performance to come from behind to beat Biggleswade FC last weekend with goals from Harry Alexander his eleventh in all competitions and a debut home league goal for Charlie Stow. The two teams met back in September with Thame taking the lead twice only to be pegged back by a 93rd minute equaliser against the run of play.

The two teams have gone on different trajectories, after the draw Thame were sitting second from bottom on four points with Dunstable in fourteenth place with seven points. Since that game Thame are now eighth with games in hand on the teams above them picking up thirty seven points, while Dunstable have only won three more points and currently sit bottom of the table on ten points. In the past few weeks there have been some changes announced at the club with long term manager James Townsend being replaced with an interim manager team of Tyler Dunnell, Mick O’Connor and Kev Souster taking over. There has also been a large turnover of players with none of the team that featured in the last game the defeat against Aylesbury in the match day squad when the two teams last met in September. The club has also announced that they are in negotiations with Dunstable Town who also play at Creasy park and play at step five about a possible merger next season.

Kick Off at Creasy Park is 15:00
