Ardley United take on Thame United in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup Final on Saturday 3rd May at Oxford City, as the Sky Blues look to end Thame's run of winning the competition, which has seen them win 11 matches in a row in the competition over the past three seasons.
The current holders are Southern League side Thame United who have lifted the trophy 10 times in their history with the first victory occurring in the 1905/06 season. The club retained their 2022/23 title with a 3-2 victory over Kidlington at the Banbury Plant Hire Stadium and will be looking to complete a hat trick of trophy wins.
Ardley come into the game on the back of a positive end to the season having beaten Harefield United 4-1 to back up their 1-1 draw at home to Burnham. They finished their league campaign in 11th in the Combined Counties Premier Division North (step 5).
Thame lost to league winners Real Bedford on the final day of the season and only just missed out on playoffs in the Southern League Central Division One by three points, finishing in sixth place, the highest league finish in the clubs history and in all competitions this season have scored 105 goals, so they will look to continue the scoring and put the icing on the cake of a already successful season.
With no injuries reported Thame will have a full squad to pick from, so squad places will be keenly contested. The final on Saturday will be a tightly contested game with both sides looking to go home with some silverware.
