It’s a quick turnaround for Thame United as they are back in Pitching In Southern League Central Division One action this Monday night after their trip to Ware on Saturday which saw them gain a hard earned point. They travel to the Eyrie in Bedford to play Biggleswade FC who ground share with Bedford Town. This game was due to be played earlier in the season but FA Trophy the match had to be rearranged. Last season the spoils were shared with Thame beating Biggleswade, at the Eyrie 3 - 2 in November and Biggleswade winning 3 - 1 at The ASM Stadium in March. This season Biggleswade are flying in the league currently sitting in sixth place only out of the play off spots on goal difference and have only been beaten twice, and have the third best defensive record in league, so this will be a tough test for the Red kits on the road. Last time out Biggleswade beat Marlow 2 - 1 drawing against Hadley and Hertford in the previous two games. Thame will be buoyed from a very good away performance against Ware, which saw them come from 2 - 0 down to draw 2 - 2 but for the excellent performance of the Ware keeper it would have been an away victory. The point moved Thame up two places in the league to tenth place with games in had on the teams above them.
