This weekend sees the first qualifying round of the Isuzu FA Trophy, this is a competition open the step 1 to 4 teams in the footballing pyramid and at this stage there are 80 ties involving 160 step 4 teams.

Last Season at this stage Thame United were well beaten at home against Badshot Lea from the Southern League 5 - 0.

This season the Red Kites, have been drawn away to Stenying Town FC, from West Sussex and who play in the Isthmian League South East Division at the Shooting Field stadium.

This is the first season Stenying have played in the Trophy after being promoted this season from the Southern Combination Premier League as winners. They took part in the preliminary round to get to this stage by beating South Park from Reigate 4 - 2 on penalties.

So far this season Stenying have progressed to the Emirates FA Cup 1st qualifying round, by bating Hilltop and Crawley Down, before loosing to Merstham. In the league they have played two games loosing to Merstham and Broadbridge Heath. In all competitions this season they have scored 9 with Jack Barnes, Alfie Rogers and Mark Goodson scoring two apiece.

Thame United have played 7 games so far this season, winning 5 of them. Beating Aylesbury and Beaconsfield in the Emirates FA Cup and loosing to Wingate and Finchley in the 1st qualifying round. In the league they sit seventh on 9 points beating Ware, Enfield and Kidlington suffering defeat against Berkhamsted, scoring 17 goals from 10 different players.
