Martin Pacetti18 Jun - 11:13

Fitting end to an excellent season for Thame U12s JPL side with a league and cup double

Thame Utd U12s created history recently completing a JPL (junior premier league) double, winning both the league and cup at the very top level. In the same week they also added the ENG international cup to there impressive haul.

Thame beat Pro sports academy from Kent 2-1 in the JPL grand final, a team previously unbeaten all season to clinch the title with two goals from Marley Peck.

The cup final was a more straightforward affair with Thame dispatching Camberley Town 5-0 in a scintillating display of attacking football.

The team has travelled and competed with teams across the length of England this season and to be crowned champions is an incredible achievement.

The boys who are mainly local with the large majority attending Lord Williams School in Thame, have been together 3 years now and have proudly put Thame Utd in the football history books forever.
