Thame United are in action this Bank Holiday Monday as they hit the road for their first time this season in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One as they travel to Marlow. Its very early days in the league with Marlow playing just one game so far a 3 - 2 home victory over Beaconsfield Town, however in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup they beat Newport Pagnal 5 - 1 before going out in the preliminary round loosing at home 1 - 0 against Cirencester Town. Meanwhile this will be Thame fourth competitive game two in the league and one cup match. The opening day they suffered a 3 - 0 home defeat by Royston Town, followed by an entertaining 3 - 3 draw at the ASM stadium against Ware. Then last time out they put step five Brislington to the sword in the preliminary round of the FA cup winning 7 - 1 at home, with goals from Curtis Brown, Mark Riddick, Charlie Bacon, Greg Hackett, Ed Daffern with his third of the season and two goals for Roger James who came on for a second half debut.

The two teams have met each other five times, but only twice in the Southern league, last season Thame winning both games a 4 - 0 home victory in October followed by a 2 - 1 away victory at Marlow. Thame will welcome new signing Aydin Ulas into the squad for this weekends fixture, the full back has completed a dual registration with Oxford City where he signed his first professional contract in the summer.
