This weekend we welcome Beaconsfield Town to The ASM Stadium in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One. This will be our third meeting with Beaconsfield Town this season, back in August the teams met in the second preliminary round of the FA Cup, at the ASM Stadium with Thame coming out on top by 5 - 0, then in November Thame travelled to Beaconsfield and came away with a 1- 0 victory thanks to a late goal from Curtis Brown.

After relegation from step three the previous season it was a slow start to the season, for our visitors this weekend, but have now settled into life at step four and have been on a good run of form unbeaten in their previous 9 Southern league games and currently sit in fourth place in the form table with Thame in Sixth place. Both teams were in county cup action this week with Thame beating Oxford City in the semi final to progress to the final while Beaconsfield went out at the same stage in the Berks and Bucks county cup.

In the league Thame’s last outing saw a comfortable away victory at Aylesbury United by 3 - 0, whilst Beaconsfield had a good home victory over Welwyn Garden City. This should prove to be a close encounter with two of the form teams in the division going head to head. We also welcome back Matty Harriot, Beaconsfield current captain who spent some time with Thame last season.
