Thame welcome Beaconsfield Town to the ASM Stadium this Tuesday night in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One.

Last season, honours were even in the two matches played. In November, Beaconsfield visited ASM Stadium and left with a 4–1 victory. In the return fixture in February, Thame came away with a 4–0 win. In recent years, the two teams have met seven times in league and cup competitions, with Thame holding the upper hand with five wins to Beaconsfield’s two.

Following our trophy exit on Saturday, which ended our nine-match unbeaten run, our attention now turns to the bread and butter of league football. With our involvement in both the FA Cup and FA Trophy, we have played only four league games so far this season, so it will be good to return to league action. We currently sit in 12th place, although we have played fewer games than most of the teams around us. Our last league match was a 4–0 away victory at Milton Keynes Irish nearly three weeks ago.

In contrast, our visitors this Tuesday have played eight league games and currently sit in fifth place on 12 points, having won four and lost four. After a run of five defeats at the start of the season and early exits from both the FA Cup and FA Trophy, Beaconsfield went on to record four consecutive victories. However, they suffered a 3–0 defeat away to Biggleswade Town at the weekend.

Kick Off at the ASM Stadium 19:45
