Thame United vs Hadley Match Preview 29 November

Martin Pacetti28 Nov - 11:06

Its Hadley up next at the ASM Stadium

Thame United are back at home this weekend after two away trips and face Hadley in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One at the ASM Stadium. Last season Hadley had a comfortable 3 - 0 home victory in January while there was a remarkable match at the ASM stadium in March, with Hadley racing into a 3 - 0 lead only for Thame to score four goals to take the lead, but Hadley equalised in the final few minutes with the game ending 4 - 4. The draw helped maintain Hadley’s lead over Thame in the table which meant they claimed the final play off spot over Thame finish ahead by 3 points.

It's still early in the season, but this is the reverse fixture of the game played in September despite there still being four teams, Thame haven't played so far. It was a game in September at Brickfield Lane which saw seven goals, with Hadley coming out on top with Thame taking an early first half lead then defensive errors saw the team going 4 -1 behind after conceding early second half goals, but scored two late goals and had chances to level the scores right at the end. Last season the two teams finished one place apart in fifth and six place separated by three points, this season both teams are someone behind the pace they set in 2024 /2025 with Hadley in tenth place and Thame in eleventh place separated by two points with Thame having played one game less. Hadley had a home draw with Northwood on Tuesday night after a home defeat against Welwyn Garden City on Saturday which sees them on a run of five games without a win.

After a good away victory at Rayners Lane on Saturday in somewhat difficult conditions with torrential rain through out the game, Thame lost to league leaders Leighton Town on Tuesday night by three goals to one, but it was a positive performance and made it difficult at times for a very good Leighton side. Hadley’s danger man this season has been forward Lenny Asamoah with eleven goals to his name including there hat tricks. While Thames goals have been spread around the team, with Louis Walsh on seven goals and four players having scored five each.

Kick off at The ASM Stadium is 15:00
