Thame United are back at home this Tuesday in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One, as Hadley FC are the visitors to The ASM Stadium. This game was due to be played on 29 November at the ASM but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The two teams met at the start of September on the back of Thame not winning a game in August it became four losses on the trot after going down 4 - 3. A game in which Thame didn’t help themselves giving away an injury time goal in the first half then two early second half goals to go 4 - 1 behind and a strong finish wasn’t enough to get anything out of the game.
Since then Thame have gone onto lift themselves from the bottom of the league to seventh place while Hadley have struggled to hit the heights of last season which saw them finish in the play off places one place and three points above their opponents. After that victory Hadley were sitting in the play off spots in the early table and are now in tenth place some five points behind Thame. a dramatic turnaround in form from both teams. With Thame picking up fifteen more points.
The two teams were neck and neck for most of last season both pushing for the play off spots an early season loss at Hadley by 3 - 0 was followed up in March by an entertaining 4 -4 draw at the ASM with Thame coming back from three goals down and fought back to go four goals to three up only for a late equaliser for Hadley. With Hadley finally finishing in the play off spots, going on to loose in the semi final to Berkhamstead.
Last time out Hadley suffered a heavy defeat away at an inform Beaconsfield Town by 4 - 1 and previous to that a surprise home defeat to relegation threatened Leverstock Green by a goal to nil. This will be only our forth game of the year for Thame and the good run of form sees them head the division form guide which them on an eight games undefeated after a hard fought draw against Barton on Saturday, and a 6 - 1 away victory at AFC Dunstable the previous week.
Kick off at The ASM Stadium is 19:45
