Thame United return to the ASM Stadium this Tuesday for a game under the lights as they face Milton Keynes Irish in the return match in the Southern League Central Division One. With the season not even a quarter of the way through this will be the second time the two sides have met in the league this season, with a midweek clash back in September which saw Thame come away with a 4 - 0 victory with goals from Greg Hackett, Harry Alexander, Roger James and Dan West giving Thame a comprehensive win on the road. Last season saw the first-ever meeting between the two sides, as Leverstock completed at step four for the first time, the teams first met in September Irish scored a late winner to earn Thame a 2–1 victory. In the reverse fixture, MK Irish suffered a 6–0 defeat in March, with Louis Walsh scoring five of the goals.

Milton Keynes Irish are currently sitting three places and two points above Thame on eighteen points from fourteen games although they have played five more games, but last time out suffered a big defeat away at Royston Town going down 5 - 0. Meanwhile after a good win at home to Welwyn Garden City, Thame’s midweek fixture at home to Biggleswade FC was called off due to the left hand goal mouth being covered with standing water. But it was another good win at the weekend when the first ever meeting with Potters Bar whihc ended in a deserved away victory in difficult conditions with driving rain and a strong wind, the team dug in to secure all three points.

Kick Off at the The ASM Stadium 19:45
