Thame United vs Stotfold Match Preview 7 November 2026

Martin Pacetti

A look ahead to this Saturday's encounter with Stotfold. Please note there will be a minutes silence before kick off

Thame United return to the ASM Stadium this Saturday when they welcome Stotfold in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One. This will be the sixth meeting between the two sides since Stotfold were promoted to Step Four at the start of the 2023 / 2024 season. Thame remain unbeaten against their Bedfordshire rivals with four wins and two draws.

Last season Thame won 1 - 0 in September, then in March Thame had a 2 - 1 away victory with current player Ed Daffern scoring an early opener for Stotfold, but goals from Jack Tutton and Harry Alexander secured the three points, with Stotfold comfortably securing a mid-table finish for the third season.

This season has seen the visitors to the ASM Stadium start with great confidence and currently sit in seventh place on 25 points, four places and three points ahead of Thame, and have only lost twice in their fifteen games played and have not been beaten in their last ten games. Last time out they defeated Flackwell 2 - 0 after securing a 4 - 4 draw at league leaders Winslow in midweek, scoring two late injury-time goals to come away with a point.

Meanwhile Thame are undefeated in four games, winning all of them with wins against Welwyn Garden City, Milton Keynes Irish, Potters Bar and a 3 - 1 victory on Saturday away at Barton Rovers, and have still only played eleven games, some four and five games less than teams around them and leave them second in the form guide.
