Thame United are back at home this weekend in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One, as Welwyn Garden City also known as the citizens are the visitors to The ASM Stadium. Although we are now in the second half of the season this is the first time the two teams have met this campaign.

Last Season Welwyn had an early season victory over Thame after a sixth minute goal at the ASM stadium saw a 1 - 0 victory, then in January with teams fought out a 2 - 2 draw at Herns Lane, with the Citizens scoring a late equaliser.

This season the two teams are separated by one place and three points in eighth and ninth place in the league, but with Thame having played two games less.

The home side are on a run of five games unbeaten with wins in December against Northwood, Biggleswade FC, Marlow, Leverstock Green and a draw against Ware. While Welwyn are on an indifferent run of form not having won in four games with defeats against London Lions and Beaconsfield in their last two outings.

Both teams had the weekend off with Thame's game against Aylesbury called off on Friday and Welwyn’s game against at home to Hertford called off on Saturday morning both due to frozen pitches.
