Thame United are back at home this Tuesday in the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One, as Welwyn Garden City also known as the citizens are the visitors to The ASM Stadium. Although we are now in the second half of the season this is the first time the two teams have met this campaign after the original match was postponed on the 10 January due to a frozen pitch.

Last Season Welwyn had an early season victory over Thame after a sixth minute goal at the ASM stadium saw a 1 - 0 victory, then in January with teams fought out a 2 - 2 draw at Herns Lane, with the Citizens scoring a late equaliser.

When the two teams were due to play each other earlier in January they were separated by one place and three points in eighth and ninth place in the league, since then the Citizens have only played one game which was the weekend draw at home to Biggleswade Town thanks to a 93 minute equaliser. The lack of games has seen Welwyn drop to fourteenth in the league but they do have games in hand over teams around them.

Meanwhile Thame have continued their good run off form, after winning December team of the month, although only playing two games the home victory against Biggleswade FC and then a 6 - 1 away victory at AFC Dunstable has seen the team move up to seventh in the table with games in hand over the teams above them.
