Thame United start their 2024 / 2025 Pitching In Southern League Central Division One campaign when they travel to Ware for the opening game of the season.

There are a few changes to the make up of the league this season firstly with it increasing to 21 teams, we see Biggleswade Town and Bedford Town promoted to Step three, Kempston Rovers relegated to step 5, whilst Waltham Abbey have moved to the Isthmian League North. We welcome a number of new teams to the division. Berkhamsted and Beaconsfield have dropped down from step three, two teams have had side ways moves from the Isthmian league Northwood and Enfield who will ground share with Hertford Town. Flackwell Heath have been promoted after winning the Combined Counties North League and they are joined by Spartan South Midland Winners Real Bedford and play off winners Livestock Green.

Last season, Ware finished fifth in the league earning a playoff against Bedford Town, who went onto win and gain promotion, in the two league games it was a close encounter in the game in September with Ware scoring a 98 minute equaliser to draw the game 4 - 4, whilst in March the visitors to the ASM Stadium won 1 - 3, only four players for that match are likely to be in the squad for this weekends match. With Manager Ben Williams working hard over the summer to bring in players who have been together since the beginning of July. We also welcome back to the club Ben Johnson who has replace Jack Porter in the coaching set up.

After a solid pre season, Thame got their season underway with a convincing 3 - 0 victory over Aylesbury United, in the Extra Preliminary round of the FA Cup with goals from Rock Tamplin, Jefferson Louis and Reece Burke in front of a crowd of 250.
