A round up of the weekend results and what's on this week.

This Weeks Results

Tuesday 9 April

Thame United First Team had a crucial home game in the Pitching In Southern League Division one central against North Leigh, this match having been postponed twice due to pitch conditions. It was a difficult match for the Thame side with North Leigh sitting in a very low block and content to hit the long ball over the defence and try and counter attack. It took Thame until the 62nd minute to make the breakthrough with Fin Murry meeting a corner to guide a header into the net. It took until the 90th minute for Thames second with Harry Alexanders shot deflecting into the net off of a North Leigh defender. The third came in the 94 minute a shot was spilled by the North Leigh Keeper and fell to Louis Fountain to put the game to bed and a 3 - 0 victory to the home side.

Wednesday 10 April

Thame United Vets team, played Woodley United reserve team in the UHL Veteran league at meadow view park, the vets winning convincingly by 6 - 1 with a John Mitchell hat trick two goals from James Keeble and one for Stuart Ball securing the three points.

Saturday 13 April

Thame United First Team had a difficult away day in the Pitching ‘in Southern League Central Division One, when they travelled to league leaders Biggleswade Town. Thame were desperately unlucky to concede a 92 minute goal after playing so well keeping the leaders at bay. The final score ended 1 - 0 to the home side, but Thame were unfortunate not to come away with a point.

In the Oxfordshire Senior League there was a big game at the bottom of the table as the bottom two teams met with Thame United Reserves travelling to Cropredy Firsts, the game ended in a 2 - 2 draw to extend Thames unbeaten record to 3 games. The draw moves Thame level on points with third from bottom Summertown Stars, both having the same goal difference. The point leaves Thame in ninth place on 20 points with one game to play.

Thame United A travelled to play Wantage Development in the penultimate match in the UHL Central Division Two. The game ended in a 1 -1 draw with Matt Johnson getting the Thame goal

In the Aylesbury and District League Division Two, Thame United B were at home to Rivets FC First. It was a comfortable run out for the B team winning by 6 - 1 with a Ryan Binnee hat trick, 2 goals from Ben Crawford and 1 from James Bonwickj securing the 3 points. The win leaves Thame 5 points behind AW FC Reserves with a game in hand.

Thame United C continued in the group stage of the of the ADL Junior Cup with a home tie against Aylesbury Hornets FC, the game ended in a 1 - 1 draw with Thames goal coming from Sam Hunt.

Sunday 14 April

Thame United Women finished of their Thames Valley Division 3 North campaign with a 6 - 2 loss to league leaders Easington Sports. Thame goals were scored by Shona Reid Evans and Josephine Taylor. The final table leaves Thame in second place on 25 points with 7 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses.

This Weeks Fixtures

Wednesday 17 April

Thame United Vets Team travel to Enysham Park to play North Leigh in the UHL Hellenic Veterans League, this is a battle for third and forth place in the table. Kick off 19.45.

Saturday 20 April

In the Pitching In Southern League Central Division One, Thame United First Team have their final home match of the season and penultimate league game, when Kings Langley are the visitor to the ASM stadium. This will be Kings Langley final game of the season and they will finish comfortably in mid table. Thame are still fighting for survival in the league nothing more than a win will do.

Thame United Reserve are hoping to continue their unbeaten run with a trip to Halse United,in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division. This will be a tough test with the good form Thame have had over the last few games with Halse currently sitting in fifth place in the table.kick off is 14.00 at Brackley NN135HL

Thame United A travel to Highworth Reserves in their final game in the UHL Hellenic League Central Division, viceroy would take Thame ahead of Highworth in the table.

In the Aylesbury and District League Division One, Thame United B travel to Potten End, who sit mid table, kick off is 14.30 at Potten End HP42QX

Thame United C team continue in the ADL Junior Cup with a home game against Oving Reserves. Kick off is 14.30 at Meadow View Park.
