*** NEW SPONSOR ALERT and INTERVIEW WITH THAME UNITED'S #4 JAMIE ESSEX ***
Thame United FC would like to welcome a new addition to our family Jason Sutch - Darcey Sales Rep. Jason has recently sponsored our centre back Jamie Essex and sponsored our environmentally friendly matchday programme.
Jason and his fiancée Shannen will be visiting the Asm Stadium this Saturday to watch Saturday's game.
Jason Sutch - Darcey Sales Rep told us -
'I have been a football fan since I can remember. I first heard about Thame United Football Club when a long time friend of mine purchased his season ticket. I could tell from him that this was a passionate club with big ambition. I'm an advocate of supporting local businesses and harnessing the ambition of those involved. Being able to sponsor a player is exciting for me as it means I can directly support a local business. As a small business owner I know the importance of working together. I am really looking forward to following the club closer by attending matches and following the teams progress up the divisions'.
Jason Sutch - Darcey Sales Rep sells a variety of products including hand made and environmentally friendly candles and wax melts. TO PLACE AN ORDER SEE BELOW:

*** QUESTION TIME with JAMIE ESSEX***
So Jamie, how old were you when you started playing football? And who got you into football?
JAMIE - ‘I started playing when i was about 5, my brother is a few years older than me and joined a team so i wanted in on the action asap’.
Who is your favourite football player and why? Is there a football team that you support yourself?
JAMIE - ‘Difficult to pick an individual player as a favourite player but as a Chelsea fan my list would be; Wise, Zola, Terry, Lampard and Drogba’.
How long have you been playing for Thame United FC? What position(s) have you played for us?
JAMIE - ‘Been here for 2 seasons now, and play CB, with a few cameos up front’.
What in your opinion is the best thing about Thame United?
JAMIE - ‘Apart from the pitch (kudos to Geordie who works hard on it) it would have to be the group we have here, from backroom to players, everyone is great to be around’.
If not playing football what else would you be doing on a Saturday?
JAMIE - ‘If we didn’t have a game, more than likely id be in a pub enjoying my weekend off’.
Do you have a pre match ritual/routine, if so tell us about it?
JAMIE - ‘My routine is fairly lengthy, and involves plenty of deep heat and use of a roller. I have hamstrings made of cheese so need to get them prepared’.
What is your favourite post match meal and why?
JAMIE - ‘I don't really have a favourite, Saturday nights usually result in getting home and cracking open a beer and enjoying what the Mrs has cooked’.
Do you have any superstitions? If not is there someone in the dressing room that does?
JAMIE - ‘No one has any that I'm aware of, although I'm sure a few have some and as for me Im not the superstitious type’.
You have recently been sponsored by Jason Sutch @ Darcey's. What does this mean to you and why?
JAMIE - ‘Firstly thank you to Jason for the sponsorship, its nice to be shown support and be recognised by people. Hopefully by Jason attaching himself to the club, he can generate more business for himself’.
Who is the last player on the training pitch at Thame?
JAMIE - ‘Not me, thats for sure. Training isn't my thing Haha’.
Tell us how will you be preparing for our next game?
JAMIE - ‘Nice dinner, and an early night. NO BEERS’.
So what are your thoughts on our next opponents Peterborough Sports?
JAMIE - ‘They are top of the league for a reason, so if were going to get anything from it, we will have to be at the top of our game and definitely not like we was last week, saying that on our day we are capable of beating anyone. So lets hope we turn up and put a performance on for people’.
Do you have any further comments for our Followers @THAME UNITED FC?
JAMIE - ‘Just thanks for the support so far, and we hope to continue seeing you all at the games. and just to get behind us for our push towards the playoffs’.
