A strong confident start once again. First shot on target after 2 mins from Chamen, then steady great play and pressure from Thame with James and Jordon playing awesome football up front. James again sets up a nice pass to Dylan and he gets a shot on goal. Thame are playing lovely football with Matty playing really well at the back. Alex in defence once again very reliable and sure footed and again Jordon and Matty doing some effective defence work. Hughenden now starting to get a little more into the game so the defence having to work more. Then Dylan gets a lovely pass from Tayler and scores a good goal. Soon after his goal Dylan has another shot on goal. Billy playing great game today maybe his best game this season. First half finishes at 1.0. Hughenden come out of their changing room with shouts of self-encouragement. Thame under a bit of pressure from the kick off looking a little out of shape as Hughenden attempts to gain the upper hand. A few nervous moments and miss-communications but Thame’s strength in depth and resilient nature sees us through a short period of pressure. Then Dylan has another shot at goal and Charlie covers well in defence with Felix also playing an inspired game particularly with his headers. Brandon is his solid and reliable self alongside him and is also having a great game. Thame begins to regain control but the risk is still there with the score refusing to budge at 1.0. Then Tayler gets a good over-head shot at goal and Tayler then gets another shot at goal soon after. Again Billy really good out wide playing well. We dig into our reserves as the pace of the match begins to take its toll but continue to look the better attacking team and hold well at the back. After a period of “Fergie time” for some reason the ref finally blows at 40 mins and a well-played, well deserved win is ours.
